We’ve come up with what we think is the perfect combination of plastics in these custom made Disc Golf Starter packs from NZ’s RPM Discs.
Cheaper packs have cheaper plastic that won’t last and you’re game will suffer without knowing. Standard Premium packs include a Putter that can slip through the chains and cost more than you need to. So these 3 packs mean you save a few bucks and you actually get a better putter for the job.
We have two versions…
1 – BEGINNER: Choose this one if these are your first discs

1 x Piwakawaka Mid Range – Premium Cosmic/Atomic Plastic
1 x Pekapeka Fairway Driver – Premium Cosmic/Atomic Plastic
2 – INTERMEDIATE: If you’re upgrading from cheap plastics or if you already have some disc skills.
1 x Ruru / Tui Putter – Premium Magma Plastic
1 x Kotuku Mid Range – Premium Magma Plastic
1 x Pekapeka Fairway Driver – Cosmic / Atomic Plastic
Just over $20 per disc… and these will last much, much longer than cheaper alternatives.

Fairway Driver
Discs come in a wide variety of plastics. Some are better suited for certain scenarios than others, others are simply better quality and will last longer.
Every brand has their own names for the different plastic types. We’ve put this chart together as a general reference the next time you see a plastic name and want to know how it fairs!

Cosmic RPM’s premium see through plastic. Good grip and durability. Great for driving putters, mids, fairway drivers and drivers alike. Often has cool metal flakes infused in the plastic. Also available in Glow |
Atomic RPM’s premium plastic that is not see through. Good grip and durability. Also good for driving putters, mids, fairway drivers and drivers alike. |
Platinum This is the premium plastic in the most swirly goodies you can get. So good in fact that RPM don’t even stamp the front of the disc, they just stamp the disc details on the bottom of the disc… Virtually no two are the same. |
